What's inside?

The sewing kit checklist consists of two pages of A4 including:

Thread basics: Why some threads snap, others snag and some won't change colour.
A tick list of tools and materials.
Essential vs optional: The must-have tools for hand sewing and mending and the optional extras that will make it all feel effortless.
Needle knowledge: Pointy, blunt, long, short, with a large or small eye, and why thinner isn't always better.

Hand sewing is a wonderful pastime and it's surprising how much there is to know about a simple thing like a needle. Using the wrong needle or thread for your project can turn a relaxing sewing session into a frustrating tangle.

This is why I have created a free checklist of tools and materials that every sewing box should contain.
